UAE restaurants and bars will not sell alcohol on holidays

During the celebration of Isra and Miraj, restaurants and clubs throughout the United Arab Emirates refuse to sell alcohol.

Restaurants, bars and clubs throughout the UAE will not serve alcohol for 24 hours on the occasion of the religious festival of Isra and Miraj.

The “dry” night will begin on Sunday before sunset, at about 7 pm, and will last until Monday evening, the Dubai Tourism Authority said.

Public servants on this occasion are given a long weekend. They will return to work on Monday.

The Federal Service for State Personnel Management reported that private sector workers who have a six-day work schedule will rest on Saturday, April 22, and will return to work on Sunday, April 23.
