Butterflies Van Cleef & Arpels

The perfect harmony and beauty of nature continues to inspire the creators of jewelry. Recently, Van Cleef & Arpels jewelry house presented to the general public a series of butterfly-shaped brooches decorated with Japanese glaze patterns. This unique collection was the fruit of a collaboration between Van Cleef & Arpels and Japanese master Hakoshi.

The collection, consisting of 18 models, each of which exists in only 20 copies, may be replenished in the future. Each brooch, created manually, is original and unique. The decoration used: wood, white or gray mother of pearl. Each "Van Cleef & Arpels" butterfly has a personal code: the letter of the series (A, B, C) and number from 00 to 20. Each of the 18 "pilot" copies is equipped with engraving EA (artist test). These brooches, unlike numbered ones, are not designed for sale, but can only be displayed in shop windows or at jewelry displays. Buyers have a unique opportunity to choose a jewel number according to their lucky number.

Each brooch is placed in a box with a silver-plated inscription: the Japanese character "butterfly" and the designation of the series and number.
