Car owners who have accumulated fines are entitled to a discount of up to 50 percent for payment in the emirate of Fujairah, UAE.
A generous discount was granted at the direction of Sheikh Muhammad bin Hamad bin Muhammad Al Sharki, the crown prince of Fujairah.
The promotion is valid from November 25 to January 4 to mark the Year of Charity and on the occasion of the 46th National Day of the UAE.
This initiative aims to remove the burden on motorists in paying fines registered in Fujairah.
Major General Muhammad Ahmad bin Ghanim al-Qa'abi, the commander in chief of the Fujairah police, said the initiative will support public safety by discouraging traffic violations.
This promotion applies to fines committed before November 20.
Major General Al-Qa'abi explained that the discount applies to all types of fines issued by the police, including confiscation of vehicles.
He urged all motorists to take advantage of this grace period and get rid of fines, as well as abide by the rules of the road.
