Classic with a twist

Red grill

The new Red Grill restaurant at the newly opened Sofitel Downtown Hotel is more than just a steakhouse. At Red Grill they cook only from the best tenderloin selected by real experts in their field, and the steaks serve excellent wines that complement their excellent taste.

The menu contains 4 types of meat: two varieties from France (Charolais Beef and Normandian Beef), two from Australia (Magyu Beef and Angus Beef). To avoid mistakes with the choice, they will arrange a demonstration so that you can see first-hand what to prefer. Before the main course, you will also be offered a choice of knives - French, Italian, Australian and even retro knives. If you find it difficult to choose, just allow yourself to choose the knife that you like - they are all good.

For starters, you can take onion soup (recommended), foie gras or cream lobster soup. The main dish offers about 8 side dishes and 8 sauces. Those who want to get closer to the chef's holy of holies will find a “chef's table” right in the kitchen - here, cozy squinting and tantalizing aromas will only warm up your appetite. Much unusual, but there will be something to remember. The restaurant also has an outdoor terrace overlooking the Bourges Khalifa, where after dinner you can order a hookah.

Prices range from 180 to 240 dirhams per steak, which is generally acceptable for Dubai and a restaurant of this level. Subdued light and lounge music will add an atmosphere of evening coziness. And on Thursdays, Red Grill merges with the neighboring restaurant, Green Spices, and you can order anything from the menus of both restaurants.

Clé dubai

It just so happened that the best restaurants in Dubai are located in the DIFC area - the financial center. Recently, the Clé Dubai, the first restaurant in the region, Greg Maluf, the famous Australian chef, the owner of an honorary Michelin star, was opened. Visitors can now taste its classic Lebanese kebbe, in another way tartare, but with salmon instead of traditional beef or lamb. You can also try chicken baked with chickpeas, spinach and raisins in cakes called saj, or shrimps marinated in traditional Shermul sauce and fried on stones, under pomegranate mayonnaise. The master is ready to please the famous duck pie with sweets and spices, which is called bisteya, and biryani with quail eggs, eggplant and Indian raita sauce. This is Maluf's first restaurant in the Middle East, and it has already gained recognition and fame.
