DUBAI HOSTS AN EXHIBITION OF INVENTIONS BY LEONARDO DA VINCI

Life-size copies of Leonardo Da Vinci's inventions were demonstrated in the main atrium of the Dubai Mall, one of the world's largest shopping malls. An exhibition entitled "Genius and His Inventions" gathered on its square 40 mechanisms and reproductions of the author, whose creations changed the world at one time. The entire exhibition was divided into four categories - air, water, earth and fire - and each of them talked about the author’s contribution to world science and the development of technology.

“Leonardo Da Vinci is one of the main representatives of the Renaissance in Italy. This exhibition presents historical evidence of the engineering talent and innovative thinking of our nation,” said Giovanni Favilli, Consul General of Italy in the UAE, at the opening.

Previously, the exposition was already presented to the public in Italy, Austria, Germany and Turkey, where it gathered up to 8,000 visitors a week. In the UAE, it also took place in Abu Dhabi, under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture, Youth Policy and Social Development of the Emirates.
